On June 6, 2015, Clemens Construction Company held their annual Golf Outing at which President Steve Pouppirt presented a $25,000 check to the Charter High School for Architecture + Design (*CHAD). This is the second year the proceeds have been earmarked for *CHAD.
*CHAD was founded in 1999 as a tuition-free public school, a legacy project of AIA Philadelphia. Over sixteen years the school has built an exceptional record of placing students in colleges and sending many into the design professions.
“The future of our city depends the success of our young people in their education and careers” said Steve Pouppirt, “*CHAD does this like no other school, engaging students in learning through the design process.” Peter Kountz, Head of School, was thrilled, “Steve Pouppirt and Clemens Construction Company, have been faithful stewards of CHAD, as well as among its most outspoken and articulate advocates.”
You can join Steve Pouppirt in supporting the Charter High School for Architecture + Design by attending the Champagne Breakfast Annual Gala on June 26, 2015. It will be hosted at the school amid an exhibition of student work — get tickets at www.chadphila.org/2015gala.

Mr. Pouppirt was the 2006 President of *CHAD’s Designing Futures Foundation, he was responsible for the First Champagne Breakfast and is currently a Director for the Philadelphia Center of Architecture.
