Light Refreshments and Entertainment

The senior Environmental Design class at The Charter High School for Architecture + Design created and curated an exhibition in the corner gallery that addresses numerous environmental issues such as: waste production, waste disposal, electronic waste, and planned obsolescence. Students created work from recycled materials, shared information and proposed creative solutions such as: the zero waste challenge, electronic recycling locations, using reusable bags, and switching over to a refillable canteen/water bottle. Students were inspired by other assemblage artists who work with recycled materials to raise awareness regarding our waste. We hope to create change locally and globally with our art and message so that our world does not become wasted.
